What asynchronous means
Much of your care happens without a live appointment. You submit your labs, history, cycle information, goals and symptoms; a physician reviews them on their own schedule and responds in writing. This is a recognised model of care in the states where the network is licensed.
Your part of it
Asynchronous care depends on what you report. Answer the intake and check-in questions completely and honestly, including alcohol, other prescriptions, supplements, contraception, and any symptom you are tempted to leave out. An incomplete history is the main way this model fails.
When it is not enough
A physician may require a live consultation, additional testing, or an in-person examination before prescribing, or may decline. New or severe symptoms are not an asynchronous matter — contact your physician promptly, and for an emergency call 911.
Response times
Reviews and replies are handled in business hours, not immediately. If you need an answer right away, this is not the right channel.
