Why Aethera

“Your labs look normal” is not the same as “you are fine.”

Most women over 35 have heard that sentence while sleeping badly, gaining weight they did not change their habits to earn, and losing hair. It is usually true and useless at the same time — because the markers that would have explained it were never ordered.

The problem

The default panel is a male panel.

A standard annual panel checks cholesterol, glucose, kidney and liver. It does not check FSH, estradiol, progesterone, AMH, free T3, TPO antibodies or ferritin. Those seven are the ones that explain broken sleep, a shortening cycle, a thyroid that is drifting, and the exhaustion that iron deficiency causes long before it causes anaemia. Ordering the male panel and reporting it as normal is not reassurance. It is a measurement that was never taken.

A different model

Two ways to go through it.

The usual way
Wait, and manage it alone.
  • One rushed visit a year
  • A panel that omits every reproductive marker
  • Symptoms filed under stress, or under age
  • Bone loss discovered by a fracture
The Aethera way
Measure it, then treat what the numbers show.
  • 42 markers across 8 systems, including the reproductive ones
  • Hormone draws timed to your cycle, so the result means something
  • Compared against your own baseline, retest after retest
  • Bone and cardiometabolic risk watched from the start

The part everyone gets wrong

A hormone result with no cycle day on it is close to meaningless.

Estradiol, progesterone, FSH and LH move enormously across a cycle. The same woman can look post-menopausal on one day and entirely ordinary a week later. This is why a single badly-timed draw produces both false alarms and false reassurance — and why we ask where you are in your cycle before the kit ships, and time the draw to the window that answers your actual question.

What we believe

Four principles behind everything we do.

01

Measure first

Every decision starts with your own data, timed properly.

02

Your baseline, over time

A number inside the reference range can still be a long way from where you were two years ago.

03

Say what is not known

Where the evidence is thin, the Learning Center says so, by name.

04

Human oversight

Intelligence scales the attention; a licensed physician always makes the call.

Who it’s for

For women who want the measurement, not the reassurance.

Aethera is for women roughly 35 to 60 — before, during and after the menopausal transition — who would rather see the numbers than be told not to worry.

  • You have noticed the change and you are done being told it is normal.
  • You want to know where your fertility actually stands before you decide anything.
  • You want expert oversight without the friction of the old system.

We cannot stop the transition. We can make sure you go through it with the numbers in front of you instead of behind you.

Start with the measurement.

One panel, timed properly, read by a physician. Everything after that is built around what it says.

Aethera Women's Lab is for adults 21 and over.
